Date: Thursday 31st October 2019

Venue: CHAC Auditorium

Time: 6:30pm for a 7:15pm start

School Sections Involved: Primary, Secondary

Parents and Performance Music studnets are invited to our annual Music Awards Event to celebrate and recognise the achievements of our Year 3 - 12 Performance Music students – those involved in ensembles, choirs and music technology classes.

Entry is free, and no bookings are required. Drinks and refreshments will be available for purchase from 6:30pm – 7:15pm in the Auditorium Foyer.

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPATING STUDENTS:

Event format:

This year, the event format will change from previous years. We will recognise our student musicians in their ensemble groups rather than presenting certificates individually. Selected students will also be awarded outstanding achievement and most improved trophies for each ensemble. Our departing Year 12 musicians will provide an entertaining farewell presentation, and introduce our incoming Music Captains for 2020. The program will also incorporate special guest performances from our talented young performers.

  • Recipients of Outstanding Achievement and Most Improved Awards will be announced, and the rest of the ensemble will be invited on stage for photographs. Ensemble Students will then receive certificates at their next rehearsal.
  • Certificates will be presented to students for their participation at the Middle and Senior Schools State Honours Ensemble Programs and Australian Honours Ensemble Program.
  • Year 12 students will receive their certificates and gift as the final item in the evening’s program. The graduating Performance Music class of 2019 will receive a splendid round of applause as they move onto a new stage of their lives.

Seating:

Seating is allocated for Performance Music students at the front of the auditorium.

Students will not be required to sit in alphabetical order as per previous years and are welcome to sit with their friends and ensemble peers.

Dress:

Year 12s will be required to wear their Formal Attire traditional to this event while Year 3-11 are required to wear their Formal School Uniform.

Refreshments:

Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase prior to the event start.

Photography:

Photos will be taken of each ensemble on stage, and these photos will be made available to the community following the event.

We look forward to celebrating your achievements in 2019 and farewelling the Year 12 Performance Music students.
