With just over a week to go, Canberra is fast approaching.
Students were excited this week to receive their CHAC jumpers for the trip and list individuals they’d like to bunk with during their stay. Students are buzzing with excitement about the activities we’ll be doing and the places we’ll be going. With a short week next due to the Ekka, the final countdown will be on.
We visited the Secondary Science lab again, this time to create eggshell geodes. We can’t wait to see the change that has occurred over the next couple of days when we visit the lab again late next week.
On Thursday, students boogied the night away at the CHAC P&F Primary Disco. With a fluoro/neon theme, students had fun in a photo booth, got their faces painted and danced the night away.
On Friday, three students from Year 6 participated in the ‘It Takes a Spark’ conference. The intent of the conference is to bring together girls and their teachers to connect with inspiring female industry role models. The participation of the students is as important as teachers as it is the intent to ignite, empower and nurture both students and teachers to be leaders of STEAM and entrepreneurship within their schools. This conference was designed and led by students and teachers for students and teachers.
