The two recipients of this year’s Japanese Bursary, Sierra Mossman and Katie Munro, have arrived in the town of Fujinomiya to start their four-week immersion at Seiryo High School. The girls left Brisbane on Sunday morning and were met at Narita Airport that same night, travelling by train to Fujinomiya. They have already given a short speech in Japanese to all the teachers at the morning briefing, where they performed admirably.
It’s a fair bit colder in Japan than in Brisbane now (Northern Hemisphere, opposite seasons!), hence Katie is wearing the new CHAC uniform trousers available from next year. We wish them all the best as they undertake this exciting adventure. Gambatte ne!
