All Year 10 students and their parents are invited to CHAC’s Subject Information and Selection Evening on Tuesday night commencing in the Auditorium at 6.30pm.
This is an important night for Year 10s as they prepare to make subject choices for Years 11 and 12.
The evening will commence with a presentation in the Auditorium, which will be an opportunity for parents and students to hear more about the QCE system and the ATAR. During this session, the differences between General and Applied Subjects will be discussed, as well as the opportunity for alternative pathways, such as achieving a Certificate III qualification.
At 7.15pm, 20-minute presentations will commence by Heads of Faculty and subject coordinators. These presentations will be a chance for students to learn more about the specifics of various subjects. There will be five sessions in all enabling students to hear more about those senior subjects that they are least sure about. Students are asked to select six subjects in all using CHAC’s online subject selection system. This is the same system they used last year and information will be provided about the login and selection process. The night will conclude at 9pm.
Students are encouraged to plan their night carefully. They will receive a Subject Information Guide 2020 in advance by email. The program for the evening is available here.
