Students recognised in state-wide Visual Arts competition

Author: Jennifer Chaplin
Author Role: Secondary Arts Teacher

Congratulations to Year 12 Visual Art student Anastasia Kihara who has received a Commendation Award in the Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art. She was awarded this for her 2000 piece origami sculpture and installation of a babushka doll titled The Hybrid Doll. Her work is currently on show in the Arts building foyer and our online Breathless 2020 exhibition.

Caitlyn Butt, Maxi Mossman, and Kelsey Mudd should also be congratulated on being chosen to participate in this prestigious, annual competition. This is the second year in a row CHAC has received recognition for outstanding student work. Last year, Sophie Baird and Lars Forsingdale walked away with two of the major awards.
