Social Justice Breakfast – Thursday 17 October 7am

Social Justice Breakfast – Thursday 17 October 7am

Author: Sarah Leisemann
Author Role: Chaplain

Social Justice is talked about a lot at CHAC, especially through the activities of the Diakonos Social Justice Committee. It is good to consider what Social Justice actually means and why it is important. St John’s Cathedral, which lies at the heart of our Anglican community, intentionally pursues a Social Justice agenda as part of its Christian mission, and Jen Basham helps to lead these activities. She is a dynamic and energetic advocate for social justice and is a perfect speaker to encourage and inspire our students to share in social justice activities. Students may sign up at Senior Secondary Reception – numbers are limited, however, so get in fast. There is no cost for this simple breakfast, but we do ask that students bring a donation of a bottle of shampoo, conditioner or body wash, or a toothbrush and toothpaste, which will be made into care packs by Life and Faith classes later in the term.
