Secondary Athletic Sports–Wednesday 19 June (QSAC)

On Wednesday 19 June, our Years 7 to 12 students will attend the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre for our annual Inter-House Athletics Carnival. This is a great day and involves all students, whether they are competing for Age Champion, supporting their House or participating in just a couple of events for fun. Below are the expectations for the day.

Attendance–It is a normal school day and students are expected to attend. Normal phone-in procedures must be followed to inform the College of any absences if students are ill on the day. If students are unable to compete due to illness or injury (but are able to attend school), they will be allocated jobs to assist on the day.

Early Bus–Students who have nominated to compete in the 800m event must meet in the Tuggerah Centre at 7.20am.

Uniform–Students must wear full school sports uniform to and from school. This includes:

  • CHAC sports shorts, CHAC PE Shirt or House shirt, white socks, CHAC cap or formal hat (if they do not own a CHAC cap and running shoes)
  • School jumpers, blazers and tracksuits only are permitted to be worn
  • No jewellery is permitted, and hair must be neatly tied back.
  • Heads of House will address issues involving students who are wearing the incorrect uniform.

Sun Safety–Students should wear sunscreen and apply it regularly throughout the day.

Other Information–Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and enough food to last the day. A limited canteen is available at the venue.

Parents are invited to attend the day, and a list of event times is available. Events not listed are being conducted on Monday 17 June at the pre-carnival events day
