Lytton District Athletics

The Lytton District Athletics Carnival was held at Villanova Park on 6 and 7 August. Thirty-four of CHAC’s best Under 10-12 athletes competed at the carnival to gain a place in the Lytton District team to compete at the upcoming Met East Championships. 

Congratulations to the following students on their outstanding achievements and for their selection in the Lytton team.

Under 12
Toby Chippendale (Year 6) - 1st 1500m, 1st 800m
Zoe Billings (Year 7) - 2nd 200m, 1st Multi
Annabelle Phillips (Year 7) - 3rd Long Jump
Sam Paech (Year 7) - 4th 800m, 3rd 1500m

Under 11
Ruby Samson-Wood (Year 6) - 1st High Jump, 3rd Long Jump
Amelie Borman (Year 6) - 1st Discus, 3rd 100m
Cooper James (Year 5) - 2nd Discus

Under 10
Thomas Moreland (Year 4) - 4th 1500m


Tennis

Thomas Mollee (Year 7) recently competed at the Queensland School Tennis Championships in Rockhampton where he placed 24th in singles and his Met East team placed 3rd in the Mixed Doubles event.

Volleyball

Congratulation to our Girls’ Volleyball Captain, Thea Biss (Year 12), for gaining selection in the Queensland Under 19 team to play at the Australian Junior Volleyball Championships in September.
