Zoe Billings, Toby Chippendale, Amelia Fisk, Tim Fisk and Ryan Hobbs were all successful in qualifying for the Met East Athletics team and will compete at the Queensland State Championships in October.


Yasmin Ward and Sam Pittorino competed for Met East at the State Volleyball Championships in Townsville in June. Sam’s team finished 4th overall and Yasmin’s finished 5th. Sam was chosen in the Queensland School Sport team to travel to Singapore and Malaysia later this year.

Sam Orford was also selected in the Under 14 Queensland Volleyball team and will compete at the National titles at Canberra in September.


Amelie Borman and Charlotte Hansen both competed at the Under 12 Netball State Championships in the holidays, where their Met East team placed 4th overall.


Alysha Gallagher and Charlotte Hansen both competed at the Australian World Championships Swimming trials in Brisbane in June. Alysha swam a PB and made the B Final for the 50m freestyle and placed 10th overall. Charlotte competed in the 100m Breaststroke and finished 28th overall. Both girls enjoyed the experience of competing at the highest level.


Aerin Ariff Kushairy competed in the Under 14 State Club Basketball Championships in Mackay during the holidays. Her team, the Southern District Spartans, came away with a silver medal in their division.

European Handball

Gemma Buckett has been selected in the Under 18 Australian Handball team which will travel to New Caledonia in August.
