At the beginning of Term 4, our Year 7, Year 9 and Open Touch Football teams competed at the Queensland All Schools Touch Football Tournament, which saw over 4000 students come together for this carnival. While the atmosphere was not the same as previous years, due to the no spectators rule, our teams still enjoyed and performed at a very high level across the five days of competition.
Our Year 7 girls came up against some very tough competition, though were competitive across all games. The Year 9 and Open girls performed exceptionally well in all games and only just missed out on making it into the finals. To add to the experience, our Open girls also won a creative social distancing photo competition in which we received free merchandise from Inferno Sports.
With more games at this tournament than any team had during our TAS season, we all developed and grew immensely, and I am positive we will see the outcomes of this development in the years to come.
