Primary swim program- 2019

Author: Gavin Hosking
Author Role: Junior TAS Sports Coordinator

Welcome back to Term 4, we are getting ready for a busy term ahead with one major change to our sporting program. This year, CHAC Primary has made a decision to change the date of the Inter-House Swimming Carnival from Term 1 to Term 4. This means that for 2019 ONLY, students from Years 2 to Year 6 will participate in a second swimming carnival.  From this carnival, the 2020 Junior TAS swim team will be selected from students in Years 2 to 5 and training will commence in Term 1 next year.

The Swimming Carnival will be preceded by a two-day HPE swim unit for students in Years 2 to 5. This will assist in the organisation and selection of divisions for the Swimming Carnival, and it will provide students with an opportunity to practise swimming, improve their awareness and correct their stroke.

The students will be transported to and from the Valley Pool by bus for both the HPE lessons and for the Swimming Carnival.

The HPE swim unit will be held on Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 November at the below times.
