Over the past few weeks, I have seen many wonderful things that have started to occur during this time of change.
Some of the things I have noticed during my trip to and from school each day are families spending more time together, going for walks, riding their bikes etc. I hear about jigsaw puzzles being completed, baking, board games being played, and even themed dinner parties using clothes and accessories from around the house.
These precious times with our children at home a little more have given us an opportunity to develop some closer relationships; they have allowed us to get to know each other a little better.
For some, however, it has also been a little tough as we try to balance a new way of working while juggling CHAC@home and supporting our children the best we know how. Sometimes it all goes swimmingly, and other times not so much. Please do not hesitate in contact us should you need any assistance.
Over the next two weeks, the mindfulness activities will focus on breath, developing gratitude journals and creating space. It is my hope that you will have an opportunity to complete some of these with your child.
