Pastoral Care in Primary - colour your world in kindness

Author: Anita Spencer
Author Role: Deputy Director of Primary

This week in Assembly, I spoke with the children about the importance of kindness, and how by showing acts of kindness we can colour other people’s world. Kind people take the extra step to brighten up a friend’s day and expect nothing in return.

Acts of kindness are part of the CHAC Way, the Bridge Building Program and are Bucket Fillers.

Some ways we can show kindness is through smiling, using nice words, being gentle, sharing and taking turns, chatting with someone you do not normally talk to, using your manners, and being kind to everyone.

Next Friday is National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence.  To show they support taking a stand against bullying and violence, students are invited to wear an orange accessory.

Small acts of kindness can positively change the feelings and attitudes of everyone around you! How are you going to colour your world with kindness today?
