Each May, Queensland marks Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month to raise community awareness of domestic and family violence and to send a clear message that violence will not be tolerated.
In recognition of this, the local community is invited to attend Di Farmer MP's annual Domestic Violence Forum. This event seeks to raise awareness and provide information on how the community can assist in taking a stand against this issue.
Guest speakers at this year's event include:

- Shaan Ross-Smith: Director, MATE Violence Prevention Program Angela Lynch: CEO, Women’s Legal Service
The event will be held on Tuesday 28 May at the Morningside Panthers Clubhouse, Park Street, Hawthorne. The event is free and commences at 6pm until 8pm. Light refreshments will be served between 6pm and 6.30pm.
