Last Friday Year 10 French students and Years 11 and 12 Japanese students stayed back at school to participate in a fun afternoon of language immersion activities.
The French students were involved in a drama workshop, in preparation for their upcoming assessment task. Japanese students spent the afternoon chatting with native Japanese speakers living in Brisbane, to help hone their conversational skills ahead of their speaking assessment. As with all things Languages, the evening was rounded off with some fabulous food; a four-course French meal for the Year 10s and Japanese curry and rice made by the students. It was an enjoyable way to strengthen friendship bonds and language skills.
