Trimester 1 of Junior TAS Sport was an interrupted one, however, both Hockey and Cricket finished in a successful way with both the Year 5 and Year 6 teams both finishing the term undefeated, with the Year 4 Cricket team losing only one game this season. On top of this, our participation numbers for Cricket were the best we have had for some time, which reflects the enjoyment students are gaining from their time in the sport.
Hockey finished the season well winning the majority of their games, with many teams only losing one or two games. As with Cricket, the participation numbers for Hockey were large and the smiles on students faces every Saturday summed up the enjoyment that was being had throughout the season.
I would like to thank all parents for their continued involvement in both the Hockey and Cricket programs. And for your patience and support in a tough season.
I would also like to thank all of the coaches and managers, both teachers and parents, who took the time to ensure that each student not only enjoyed their sporting experience but also gained some valuable skills along the way.
Finally, thanks to all of the students for their hard work and resilience throughout the term. You all gave your respective sports a go and this is what CHAC Sport is all about.
