Junior TAS Cross Country

Author: Gavin Hosking
Author Role: Junior TAS Coordinator

On Wednesday 6 June, 69 students took part in the Junior TAS Cross Country Carnival held at John Paul College.

These runners were selected from the Inter-House Cross Country Carnival held earlier in the term. Many of these runners have been training since this event, with many students also training in the weeks prior.

All runners represented the College well, and it was a successful day with many runners placing in the top 10.

Notable individual results go to Thomas Chippendale who placed 2nd for the 9 Years boys and Thomas Moreland who placed 3rd in the 11 Years Boys race.

In overall rankings, CHAC placed 3rd in 10 Years Boys, 4th in 11 Years Girls, 1st in 11 Years Boys and 4th in Junior Opens Boys.

CHAC placed 3rd in the aggregate points for Boys and overall the team placed 5th, meaning CHAC will again be competing in the Blue Division in 2020.

I congratulate all students who were part of the Junior TAS Cross Country team, and I also congratulate Claudia Hill and Hugo Green for leading the team very well throughout the campaign.
