Physical distancing in Primary
Term 3 has commenced smoothly, and I am hopeful that we will be able to continue to learn at school in a safe and healthy environment for the remainder of the term. Considering the recent events surrounding positive cases of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in Queensland, this a good time to remind everyone to continue to observe positive health and safety habits.
To reduce risk to the community, please remember that only staff and students may come onto the campus.
There have been large groups of parents congregating closely on the footpath and in the Kiss & Go Zone after school. As there is a very large number of students in the Kiss & Go area, parents are asked not to enter this zone on foot to collect students. This is not a pedestrian area, and having extra adults in this area increases the risk to student safety. It is also important to observe 1.5m physical distancing.
House activities and Jump Rope for Heart has increased the popularity of skipping in Primary, and there has been a great deal of enthusiasm for the inclusion of a lunchtime skipping club. Mrs Winks is very pleased to join students in the playground for this exciting new club.
We are looking forward to seeing lots of routines and tricks.
