Mathilde Beaunieux arrived from our sister school in Nantes, France, and has spent six weeks living with the Fergus family and attending school at CHAC. She wrote the following reflection of her time here to present at assembly.
"Today is my last day in this wonderful school. Today I’m going to say goodbye, it’s sad I know, but I will have wonderful memories in mind for my whole life. I would like to thank you, each of you, students, staff and Mr O'Brien, for having warmly welcomed me to your school during these last six weeks. I have unforgettable memories, such as the Year 11 camp, but I also had the chance to meet wonderful people and that is invaluable. I found a lot of differences between my country, France and yours, Australia. You live in a beautiful country and I think I fell in love with it. Maybe one day I'll have the chance to come back, who knows. I can't even imagine how lucky I was to live this experience with Hannah and now I want to show her all the surprises of France as she made me discover all the surprises of her beautiful country. Thank you everyone, merci beaucoup et au revoir."
