The excursion to Aviation Australia, as a part of the Flight subject, was very enjoyable. We walked through the various hangers containing a wide range of planes and helicopters there for aviation students to practice mechanical skills on. It was awesome to be able to go into the cockpit of the Fokka f28 and learn all the commercial airliners.
We also saw large engines for mechanics to work on, including some of the original 747 engines which we got to stand in. Going into the training hangar, we got to participate in a simulated emergency, where the cabin crews were in their last week of training. The excursion was one of the best I have been on, and I would recommend doing Flight in Year 9.
