The Environment Committee had a busy Term 1, with many exciting events held to positively impact our surrounding environment. We kicked off the term by introducing new recycling bins to each Homeroom and encouraging everyone to assist in decorating them to show their Homeroom spirit. A few weeks later, we ran a Clean Up Australia Day afternoon, which was open to all students. After collecting everything we could find, from bottles to suitcases, we were rewarded with a delicious sausage sizzle and afternoon tea. The Community Garden working bee was another enjoyable activity held during the term. We enjoyed collaborating with a number of primary students to fix-up the garden and plant new herbs and vegetables. So much has happened already this year, but we’re looking forward to another jam-packed term of fun activities.
