Dance Troupe Takes the Stage

Dance Troupe Takes the Stage

The CHAC Dance Troupe has worked very hard this term, learning and rehearsing two new dance routines in preparation for The Wetlands Festival and our first competition of the year, The Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge. The Junior Troupe, consisting of Years 7 to 9 students performed a routine to ‘Up Town Funk’, which was choreographed by CHAC past student Darcie Mudd. The Senior Troupe performed a mix by artist Young Franko, and local dance teacher, Madelyn Maccoll, choreographed a very energetic routine.

Although neither troupe placed in the challenge, their hard work at rehearsals and positive attitude on the day really shone through on stage - they certainly did CHAC proud.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the fabulous parents of our dancers, who made the journey to St John’s Anglican College at Forest Lake, to help support and cheer on our troupes. We look forward to two more opportunities to perform next term; at the Beenleigh Eisteddfod, and our final performance at Breathless.
