Through a new partnership with Envirobank, CHAC is giving students and families the opportunity to help the environment by reducing the volume of waste taken to landfill while generating additional funds for student resources.
When students return to school after the Easter holidays, they'll see a number of new container collection bins around the campus. These bins will collect the recyclable containers that students bring to the College and consume through the Canteen. In addition, we will distribute take-home bags to every family during the last week of Term 1, to enable the extended College community to participate in this recycling scheme.
Bags filled with at least 50 containers can be returned to the College on a nominated 'drop-off' day. On the first nominated drop-off day (date TBA), the first ten students to deliver a full bag will receive a CHAC KeepCup.
Alternatively, bags may be returned to any Envirobank drop-off point, and by entering the College’s Scheme ID (C10144258), the funds will be directed to CHAC. The two closest drop-off points to the College are Cannon Hill Kmart Plaza and Coles Wynnum West.
By doing our part locally, we can help the environment and raise funds to improve resources for students.
