CHAC Family Services

While there has been some resumption of face-to-face religious services around the state, the College has decided not to host services at this point in time. I feel it's important that we err on the side of caution. I am very much looking forward to when we can gather and worship as a community.

Later in the term, the College will be fundraising for the Beyond Blue Foundation. I think it is important that we recognise, now more than ever, the role that organisations such as this play in supporting people with mental health issues. Indeed, since the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic there has been a signifcant rise in the need for access to mental health services.

The Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, in an address to the 2019 Mind and Soul Foundation conference, spoke about the need for the Church to raise the profile of mental health within the Church. He spoke about his own and his families challenges. Here is a link to his address

Until we are able to meet in person, please be assured of my prayers for you and your families during this trying time.

Blessings

Nathan
