The new school year is well underway and so is the worship life of the Chapel of St Francis and St Clare. Our students and staff gather together regularly for worship and prayer, and to reflect on life and how we might find God in it. The Bible encourages Christians to be faithful in gathering together for worship and to welcome everyone into the shared life of the Church. Here at CHAC, our whole community—students, parents and staff—are part of Chapel Life.
The theme for 2019 across the whole of the Anglican Church in southern Queensland is ABUNDANT GENEROSITY. The first of our regular Family Services will celebrate the abundance of our world and of our community. We hold these services twice per term so that parents and extended families can hear and experience for themselves the kind of Christian teaching and worship that goes on week by week here at CHAC. We even meet for afternoon tea before the service, so that families can get to know one another. Everyone—old, young, faithful or questioning—has a place in our community of worship. Jesus didn’t ask people to be perfect, or even holy, to enter into the Kingdom of God, but simply threw open the invitation to all—come and discover the abundant generosity of God.
