Last Thursday, our CHAC Cross Country team competed at the annual TAS Cross Country Carnival at St. Pauls School, in an effort to defend our title as 2017 Champion Cross Country School. Unfortunately, we were unable to repeat our win, though still performed amazingly overall, securing second place. Regardless of the result, the Captains and Coaches can’t express how proud we were of outstanding effort, determination and support all runners demonstrated, both on and off the track and the conduct of such a great group of students. All runners should be extremely proud of what they achieved and the work they put into their race.
Overall, we came away as the 3rd place Girls school and the 2nd place Boys school in the competition. Despite missing out on the aggregate title, CHAC came away with some great individual placings and age group winnings. Congratulations to: Amelia Fisk in the 13 Years Girls for 1st place, Hannah Hammill in the 16 Years Girls for 2nd place, and Tim Fisk in the 16 Years Boys for 3rd place. Additionally, congratulations to the 12 Years Boys, 12 Years Girls, 16 Years Boys and 16 Years Girls for claiming the overall champions for their age group. Our thanks go out to all the staff members involved on the day for making it such as huge success as well as all the runners for their hard work and determination in their races.
