Gala Concert Series 2021

Advice for performers, parents and families

You’re invited to our annual Gala Concert Series in June which will showcase the talented musicians from our Performance Music ensembles. For many of our musicians, these concerts will be the first chance to collectively perform in a professional concert setting.

  • Adults $10
  • Students $5

*Performing students do not require a ticket

Refreshments

Chartwells CHAC will be catering the event with snacks and drinks available to purchase on the night before the concert, and during interval.

 

  • Cheese box with grapes, 2 cheese selection, 2 shaved meat, crackers and olives - $9
  • Assorted party pies with homemade chutney and relish - $9

**Vegetarian, Vegan, and Gluten Free available

 

 

Advice for Performers – Thursday, 10 June

Primary

  • Piccolo Choir to meet Mrs Long at 6:15pm in The Chapel. Students will depart after performance OR join their parents in the Auditorium for the remainder of the concert.
  • Primary Choir to meet Ms Spencer at 6:30pm in Drama A117
  • Concert Strings to meet Mrs Karlen at 6:30pm in A101
  • If you are in multiple groups, please go to the meeting room for the first thing you are performing in
  • Students in remaining groups please go to the auditorium after you have had your names marked on the roll, go directly to the “Reserved for Performer” seating area in the auditorium
  • You will need to come to your meeting room three items prior (or at interval if you are in the second half). You will be supervised by staff
    Once Primary students have performed, they will be escorted and supervised by staff in the seats at the rear of the auditorium
  • When you are in the audience, please exhibit exceptional audience etiquette and be respectful and quiet when leaving the auditorium – do this only when there is applause and do not let the door make any noise when you leave
  • Primary students may join their parents at interval if seats are available. We anticipate there will be space to spread out for the second part of the evening.

Secondary

  • Sign in at 6:30pm on the sign in sheets outside Studio A
  • If you are performing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, go directly to your meeting room
  • Flute Choir to meet Mrs Grantham at 6:30pm in A112
  • Junior Girls Choir to meet Miss Smith at 6:30pm in Studio A
  • Take note of when you will be performing and your meeting room and then go directly to the ‘Reserved for Performers’ seating area in the auditorium
  • You will need to come to your meeting room three items prior (or at interval if you are the first three in the second half)
  • When you are in the audience, please exhibit exceptional audience etiquette and be respectful and quiet when leaving the auditorium – do this only when there is applause and do not let the door make any noise when you leave

Secondary

  • Sign in at 6:30pm on the sign in sheets outside Studio A
  • If you are performing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, go directly to your meeting room
  • Concert Band to meet Mr Moynihan at 6:30pm in Studio A
  • Ebony Ensemble to meet Mr Kopetz at 6:30pm in Studio B
  • Camerata Strings to meet Mrs Weaver at 6:30pm in Drama 117
  • Take note of when you will be performing and your meeting room and then go directly to the ‘Reserved for Performers’ seating area in the auditorium
  • You will need to come to your meeting room three items prior (or at interval if you are the first three in the second half)
