Gala Concert Series 2019

Advice for performers, parents and partners

You’re invited to our annual Gala Concert Series in June which will showcase the talented musicians from our Performance Music ensembles. For many of our musicians, these concerts will be the first chance to collectively perform in a professional concert setting.

Thursday 13 and Friday 14 June 2019

Time 7pm – 9.30pm
Location CHAC Auditorium
Tickets
  • Adults $10 for one concert and $12 for both
  • Students $5 for one concert and $7 for both
  • Performing students do not require a ticket
  • Dinner and show packages from $12

Advice for Primary Performers

  • Formal College uniform (no including sports uniform)
  • Meet at 6.30pm in Drama 117 to have your name marked on the roll. Primary Choir to remain in 117
  • Lower Strings Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Concert Strings students (who are in Primary School) will stay backstage as they are performing early in the first half.
  • Please go to your green room (if you are in multiple groups, please go to the green room for the first thing you are performing in)
  • Students in remaining groups please go to the auditorium after you have had your names marked on the roll, go directly to the “reserved for performer” seating area in the auditorium
  • You will need to come to your green room three items prior (or at interval if you are the first three in the second half). You will be supervised by staff
  • Once Primary students have performed, they will be escorted and supervised by staff at the rear of the auditorium
  • Primary students may join their parents at interval however will need to be collected at the top of the stairs and return to the ‘performer’ seating after interval
  • Parents should collect students at the top of the stairs at the conclusion of the concert

Advice for Secondary Performers

  • Sign in at 6.30pm on the sign in sheets outside Studio A
  • Take note of when you will be performing and your green room (warm up room) and then go directly to the ‘reserved for performers’ seating area in the auditorium
  • You will need to come to your green room three items prior (or at interval if you are the first three in the second half)
  • When you are in the audience, please exhibit exceptional audience etiquette and be respectful and quiet when leaving the auditorium – do this only when there is applause and don’t let the door make any noise when you leave
  • If you are performing 1st, 2nd or 3rd, go directly to your green room to meet your conductor

  • White short-sleeve shirt
  • Navy shorts
  • French blue tie
  • Long navy turn down college socks
  • Black belt with crest
  • Traditional style black lace-up school shoes

Female students

  • Blue check blouse
  • Red tie
  • Navy skirt
  • Short white College socks
  • Striped ribbon
  • Traditional style black lace-up school shoes

Years 10 to 12

Male students

  • White short sleeve shirt
  • Navy trousers
  • Tie (Year 11 double striped, Year 12 plain)
  • Short navy socks
  • Black belt with crest
  • Blazer
  • Traditional style black lace-up school shoes

Female students

  • White blouse
  • Tie (Year 11 double striped, Year 12 plain)
  • Navy skirt
  • Navy tights
  • Striped ribbon
  • Blazer
  • Traditional style black lace-up school shoes
