Due to a strong demand for places, with lengthy waiting lists, families seeking placement in the College up to and including 2024 are advised to contact the College Registrar prior to submitting an Application.
Offers of places for intake in Prep are made the year prior to entry, and for Year 7, up to two and a half years prior to the nominated year of entry. Entry at all other year levels is dependent on vacancies created due to current families transferring from the College.
Step 1 - Application
Apply online to join the College's Enrolment Waiting List. Due to high demand, early application is advised. If seeking entry to Years 8, 9, 10 or 11 please contact our Enrolments Office before making application.
Applications for admission to the College are registered when the Application for Admission, copy of Birth Certificate and Application Fee are received by the College Registrar. Please note that an Application cannot be processed unless accompanied by the Birth Certificate copy.
On receipt of the Application for Admission and Application Fee, the child’s name will be placed on the Enrolment Waiting List, for the nominated year of entry. Please note that this does not automatically guarantee a place at the College.
The College’s current intake years are Prep and Year 7, with applications for other years considered if vacancies are available.
Step 2 - Review
The College currently progresses to the Review phase of enrolment in the year prior to entry for Prep and up to three years prior to entry for Year 7, to assist short-listing students for interview. Further data will be requested at this time.
Parents will be required to submit a signed Verification of Applicant Details form, along with a recent school report and other requested supporting information.
The key considerations within the current College Enrolment Policy include:
- support of the College ethos and Code of Student Conduct
- whether a sibling is currently enrolled at CHAC
- gender balance
- date of application
- scholarship offers
Consideration is also given to each applicant’s educational needs and circumstances, and information is gathered in consultation with parents and other relevant persons/professionals prior to a review by the College’s Enrolment Team.
Step 3 - Interview and Offer
In the year prior to entry for Prep and up to three years prior to entry for Year 7, selected students are invited to attend an interview, from which offers are made to successful students.
Once all returned Verification of Applicant Details forms are received and reviewed, selected students are invited to attend an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team, or specialist staff where appropriate.
Offers of places for our key intake years (Prep and Year 7) are made up to the nominated capacity for the year group. If a student is successful in securing a place at the College, a Letter of Offer will be sent to parents. If a student is unsuccessful in securing a place, the College will advise parents in writing, as the enrolment review process progresses.
Step 4 - Enrolment
Successful applicants are invited to enrol their student at the College and unsuccessful applicants are notified. Parents are sent the College’s Enrolment Agreement and Letter of Offer, which are signed and returned to the College, along with the nonrefundable Enrolment Fee, which need to be received by the required due date.
If an offer of a place is not accepted, the College may make a subsequent round of offers to others on the waiting list.
When can I make an application to the waiting list?
As all applications must be accompanied by a copy of a birth certificate, applications to go onto the Enrolment Waiting List can be submitted any time after birth.
Do siblings of wait-listed students need to submit a separate application?
Yes, All applicants are required to make application by submitting the Application Form, birth certificate and Application Fee.
How many classes are there in the Primary School?
CHAC Primary consists of two classes per year level from Prep to Year 6. Due to high demand, it is important to register your child for the Enrolment Waiting List as early as possible.
How many students are there in the Secondary School?
CHAC currently has approximately 950 students in our Secondary school.
Do you have dedicated feeder schools?
No. CHAC attracts students from up to 40 Primary schools.
Do you have to be Anglican to attend CHAC?
No. However, as an Anglican College, our philosophy is based on the principles and traditions of the Anglican Church, which fosters among its students, staff and parents a lifestyle based on Christian values.
When will we know if we have secured a place?

What happens if our child does not secure a place for Prep entry?
The application can be rolled up to the next year of entry waitlist, or to the next major intake year (Year 7). As there will be up to six classes in Year 7, applications received prior to the commencement of Primary school are well-placed to be encompassed in the Year 7 entry review process.

The Application Fee is payable when lodging the Application for Admission to place your child on the Enrolment Waiting List. Families with students who want to commence studies at the College within the next three years should contact the Registrar before paying this fee.
Application for Admission
The Application for Admission form is the form completed when registering your child to be placed on the Enrolment Waiting List. Families with students who want to commence studies at the College within the next three years should contact the Registrar before completing this form.
An Enrolment Agreement – a contract between the College and the enrolling parents – is signed at the end of the Application and Enrolment process, when a student has received a confirmed offer of a place at the College.
Once a student is offered a confirmed place at the College, an Enrolment Fee is paid to secure the place.
The Enrolment Policy is a set of guidelines which determine the factors considered when reviewing prospective students for enrolment.
Enrolment Waiting List
The Enrolment Waiting List is a list of students for whom Application for Admission forms have been received.
Up to three years prior to entry for Year 7 and in the year prior to entry for Prep, all families on the waiting list, for the relevant year, are contacted and required to complete a Verification of Applicant form. Once all this data is received, all applications are reviewed and students are selected for interview.
Letter of Offer
Once selected prospective students have attended an interview, parents of the successful student are sent a Letter of Offer.
Verification of Applicant Details
Up to three years prior to entry for Year 7 and in the year prior to entry for Prep, parents on the Enrolment Waiting List are required to complete a Verification of Application form to confirm the details supplied previously and to provide updated supporting information, such as latest school reports.
