CHAC students are provided the opportunity to participate in an Inter-House Carnival in Terms 1, 2 and 3. These carnivals are used to select students to compete for the College in The Associated Schools (TAS) Sport inter-school Carnivals.
Term 1 - Swimming
Years 3 to 6 students compete in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly (25m and 50m) at the Colmslie Pool. Secondary students compete in freestyle, backstoke, breaststroke and butterfly (50m and 100m) at the Valley Pool.
End Term 1/Term 2 - Cross Country
Primary students have the opportunity to run between 500m and 3kms (across the College Campus and surrounding Wetlands). Secondary students have the opportunity to run between 3kms and 5kms (across the College Campus and surrounding Wetlands).
End Term 2/Term 3 - Athletics
Primary students have the opportunity to participate in a number of Athletic events across two days at the College, with Secondary students competing at both the College and the Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre (QSAC).

Secondary Swimming Carnival
Information
CHAC’s annual Inter-House Swimming carnival is being held on Wednesday, 10 February at the Valley Pool (423 Wickham Street, Fortitude Valley).
Students have nominated for the events they wish to enter in Homerooms and have been given all details regarding the day.
Transport
Students competing in the 100m freestyle event must meet in the Tuggerah Centre at 7am to catch the early bus. All other students will attend morning Homerooms as normal then be directed onto buses.
Swimwear Expectations
All students MUST wear their CHAC sports uniforms (ie PE shirts or House shirts) and CHAC caps to the pool. No face or body paint, coloured ribbons or streamers to be worn. Please bring water bottles and sunscreen.
Swimmers can get changed on arrival at the pool. All competitors are encouraged to wear CHAC swimming togs; however, plain coloured board shorts and one-piece suits are acceptable. All swimmers must bring their own towels to the pool and swim caps are recommended. Only students who are dressed in swimming attire will be permitted to take part.
Sun Safety
Students should wear sunscreen and apply it regularly throughout the day.
Other Information
Students are encouraged to bring their own water bottle and enough food to last the day. A canteen is available at the venue.
