Our magnificent 1,100 seat Auditorium forms part of the Arts Precinct, which includes a Music and Drama Block and Visual Arts Wing, four general learning areas and three Drama and Performance Studios. Other facilities include a professional recording studio, and a Visual Arts wing with gallery, lecture theatre and Arts Deck.
The Auditorium offers professional lighting, sound and data projection systems and a fully equipped sound box, situated on the Balcony Level.
Wheel chair access, an elevator and toilet amenities, as well as a loading dock at ground level, ensure the Auditorium provides students with top-notch facilities.
Use of the Auditorium for special events is augmented further with the addition of a Catering Centre and a fully-enclosed and modern Auditorium Foyer.
The Auditorium is also available for external hire.
A contemporary integrated arts facility incorporates a Visual Arts Wing with darkroom, Lecture Theatre and dynamic Gallery.
A recent addition to the Art Precinct is a weather-protected Arts Deck, providing additional space for lessons, meetings and exhibitions.
The Western entrance is decorated with a ceramic mosaic, crafted by students, and the Arts Garden contains the Year 9-created installation of totem poles – guardians of creativity and innovation.
The Music Centre offers five attractive, air-conditioned and sound-proofed teaching studios, a professional recording and editing suite, an orchestral recording studio, and two dedicated Drama and Performance Studios.
Specifically, these consist of:
- Studio Room A with a seating capacity for up to 120 people, suitable for music solos right up to a 76-piece chamber ensemble,
- Studio Room B, ideal for chamber ensembles with seating for 20 people,
- Seven soundproofed music spaces suitable for one to four people.
