The art of role modelling
Congratulations to Visual Art teacher, Ms Colleen Boyle, who was recently awarded Exemplary Teacher status.
Ms Boyle is one of a small number of appointments in Queensland Anglican schools awarded the Exemplary Teacher classification to date, following a thorough, evidence-based application process that scrutinised professional knowledge, practice and engagement.
The aim of the Exemplary Teacher provision in the Queensland Anglican Schools Enterprise Agreement (2012) is:
To be at the forefront of initiatives across the national and international education community to identify exemplary teachers in Queensland Anglican Schools and also to reward and retain exemplary teachers who consistently demonstrate high levels of professionalism and performance in the classroom. It is recognised by Employers that such exemplary teachers have a very significant influence on the positive learning outcomes of students and have the capacity to provide high quality mentorship to colleagues with whom they work.
Ms Boyle joins Ms Jo-Anne Hine (Visual Art), Mrs Marion Rutter (Health and Physical Education) and Mme Darya Gunn (Languages Education) who have already been awarded Exemplary Teacher status.
